glue-sprite software package provides Simple command line tool to generate CSS sprites, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install glue-sprite
glue-sprite is installed in your system.
Make ensure the glue-sprite package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep glue-sprite *
You will get with glue-sprite package name, version, architecture and description in a table
